Union Members Stand Strong at Day of Solidarity

Chicago members turned out in force for SAG-AFTRA’s National Day of Solidarity on Aug. 22. About 200 SAG-AFTRA members gathered at Buckingham Fountain with members of various unions from across the state of Illinois. Speakers at the event included SAG-AFTRA members Anthony Fleming III and Ta’Rhonda Jones, Rep. Chuy Garcia and AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Fred Redmond. Chicago Local President Charles Andrew Gardner acted as emcee for the event.
