University of Hawaii at Manoa Student Film Agreement Update

After years of persistent work by local board members and staff at SAG-AFTRA and the University of Hawaii, the Academy of Creative Media transferred the copyright of student films to the students. The agreement took effect on Jan. 1. ACM students will be able to sign the SAG Student Film Agreement and cast SAG-AFTRA members in their student films.

Note: It is the responsibility of each member to confirm that each producer has signed the applicable contract before making an agreement to render services. Rendering services for a producer not signed to the applicable contract for the production may lead to disciplinary charges being filed.
