An Update Regarding Franchised Agents in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston-Austin Locals

We have a couple of important announcements regarding the SAG-AFTRA Franchised Agents in our Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston-Austin markets. First, we are sad to announce both the passing of Sooze Johnson and the closing of Grit Talent Agency. For over ten years, talent agent Sooze Johnson developed and promoted Texas talent with the goal of growing the Third Coast entertainment market. Her diagnosis of cancer and sudden passing in February was a shock to her family, colleagues, friends and the community. With a heavy heart, Sooze’s family has decided to close the doors of Grit Talent Agency and surrender their SAG and AFTRA agency franchises. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, our agency friends, and the local performers whose lives she touched.
