The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program kicked off tax season on Feb. 3, 2025 at its office located in the Actors’ Equity Building in Manhattan. The program, which has been serving the SAG-AFTRA membership for over 45 years, prepares performers’ tax returns for free.

On Feb. 5, SAG-AFTRA New York Local President Ezra Knight, SAG-AFTRA Executive Vice President and New York Local Vice President Linda Powell, and Chief Labor Policy Officer & New York Local Executive Director Rebecca Damon joined VITA tax director & New York Local Board member Sandra Karas and VITA site coordinator Gordon Stanley to thank program volunteers for all they do for union members.
