Vote “YES” for King County Prop 1
Over the last decade public funding for arts and science programs has been cut in half, despite the fact that exposure to arts, science and heritage experiences can dramatically improve a child’s educational success.
Prop 1 (“Access For All”) will provide stable, dedicated funding for arts, science and heritage groups to take programs into our schools – and funding for schools to take kids out of the classroom and into our region’s world-class museums, science institutions and cultural centers. That means JOBS for our members, access for kids of all ages and economic backgrounds, and stable funding for hundreds of arts, culture and historical organizations, both large and small, throughout King County.
Prop 1 has been endorsed by the Martin Luther King Jr. County Labor Council and by the SAG-AFTRA Seattle Local Board. Please be sure to vote “Yes” and to send in your ballot by August 1, to support this vital program to make, arts, science & culture accessible to ALL citizens of King County!
