Longtime NPR broadcaster Carl Kasell, met SAG-AFTRA staffer Andy Schefman at the Feb. 13 taping of Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me! in Phoenix, Ariz. The taping included an energetic sold-out audience of nearly 4,600 people.
Wait Wait ... Don't Tell Me! is NPR's Peabody award-winning, hour-long, humorous quiz program. Each week, the audience tests their knowledge against some of the best and brightest in the news and entertainment world, while figuring out what’s real news and what’s made up.
Schefman, who was a former contestant in 2002, reminisced on his past victory. “I received the ultimate prize,” stated Schefman. “Carl Kasell recorded my answering machine message and it has remained for nearly 12 years!”
