Labor Day parade

SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local members braved rainstorms to show their union solidarity by taking part in Chicago’s 10th Ward annual Labor Day parade on Sept. 1. While riding on the Chicago Federation of Labor float, the Chicago Local’s Singers Committee provided the entertainment along the parade route by singing various songs, including We Are Family, to the delight of the crowd. Union radio station WCPT’s shop steward Antonio Correa and fellow union members from WCPT walked the two-mile route. They were joined by SAG-AFTRA Chicago Local President Charles Andrew Gardner; National and Local Board member John Carter Brown; and Local Board member Steve Scholz, along with Chicago Local Executive Director Eric Chaudron and various friends and family of members.
