Who Does the Work? Preparing Workers for Technology Transition

Panelists will share their insights on planning and preparing to navigate future innovation and how unions can center workers in technology transition to ensure they are prepared to meet the challenge of a tech-driven workplace disruption. Participants will discuss their experiences helping workers adapt to technological advances, using collective bargaining to empower workers and minimize tech disruption, mitigating job loss due to automation, building the union workforce through new tech-created jobs, and creating training programs that prepare union workers for the future.
