It’s that time of the year when, in my usual non-traditional tradition, I try to accomplish several things at once, with one eye pointed at the past period of time totaling approximately 365 days and, without becoming cross-eyed, focus the other toward the upcoming year, creating a non-sequitur run-on sentence that stretches from Utah to Southern Arizona with the semi-adequate goal of gaining any of your attention that I possibly may have garnered in this opening spiel and therefore it might be wise for me to move towards expressing some words of actual meaning and substance, so with that pronouncement, I draw this portion of the show to a conclusion.
Now that I’ve used up most of my word count for this article, I will have to turn to the adage that my father greatly believed in: Less is more.
First, I want to thank all the members who have attended and participated in making all of our events happen and successful this past year. Your involvement and input is what makes us stronger and more unified with each event.
To the AZ-UT Local Board, I cannot express enough the gratitude and appreciation I have for your dedication, kindness, humor and hard work. High fives all around. You make our local proud. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Huge thanks are also due to Lisha Brock, our director of locals administration. Her organizational and communication skills and efforts have made life so much easier and better for all of us.
Happy New Year; may you find 2019 the best ever.
Joe Corcoran
Arizona-Utah Local President
