Members of the SAG-AFTRA New England, Teamsters and IATSE unions outside of the Massachusetts State House on May 25.

On May 25, hundreds of Massachusetts film and television workers rallied at the State House in Boston against changes that would eliminate the state’s film incentive.

Members of the SAG-AFTRA New England Local, IATSE and Teamsters joined forces to speak out against  the Senate budget proposal. If passed in conference committee, the Massachusetts Film & Television Tax Incentive Program would effectively be eliminated, disrupting a booming film industry, eliminating numerous jobs and harming local businesses. Production is thriving in Massachusetts, and the tax incentives are imperative to the growth of this industry.

SAG-AFTRA New England Local members joined IATSE and the Teamsters to rally at the State House in Boston on May 25.

Banding together with industry partners, SAG-AFTRA New England Local members cheer and shout "Save Mass Film Jobs!"
