The new enhanced digital issue of SAG-AFTRA magazine has you covered with the latest news on the Commercials Contracts, President Fran Drescher’s trip to Washington D.C. on behalf of members, and a deep dive into how improv skills can help every actor.

Double SAG Award®-recipient Troy Kotsur graces our SAG-AFTRA cover. In our exclusive interview, the CODA star and Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role honoree reflects on the rise of Deaf actors on screen and tells us about his dream project that will get more Deaf actors working.

Speaking of the SAG Awards, the 28th annual telecast returned to a live in-person event and brought together our favorite SAG-AFTRA members in film and television, and reunited a few dynamic duos, as well. We relieve our favorite moments from this year’s ceremony

But the awards were only the beginning of the union’s celebratory season! Since the merger of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists in 2012, SAG-AFTRA has made numerous strides within all corners of the industry. And with all that we have accomplished, it’s not only fitting that we look back at 10 years of groundbreaking work, but that we also celebrate being the first union to make Fast Company’s annual World’s Most Innovative Companies List!

As we look to the next decade of work, we are continuing to make change with a forward-thinking approach and new partnerships, including our most recent, with the Hip-Hop Alliance. SAG-AFTRA’s partnership with recording artist members and music pioneers Kurtis Blow, Chuck D and others stands to change the way rap and hip-hop talent learn the ins and outs of the industry, as well as the benefits of union membership.
