Los Angeles Local members have been very active in the community this past spring. Whether through service, labor actions or celebrations, it is all in the name of solidarity! Check out some of the cool opportunities our members have supported these past months.

SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Local members came out in full force in solidarity with crew unions ahead of negotiations at the “Many Crafts, One Fight” rally on March 3.

SAG-AFTRA L.A. Local Military Committee members, along with supporters, attend Operation Gratitude on April 6 to assemble care packages for military families. While attending the event, SAG-AFTRA member Jay Leno, center, announced that the event had made its 4 millionth care package!

Current and former L.A. Local young performers celebrate Looking Ahead’s 20th anniversary on April 20. As a part of the Entertainment Community Fund’s services for performers, Looking Ahead is a specialized community-building program for young performers in Southern California.

L.A. Local members gather for May Day 2024 in Hollywood. This rally and march are held annually on May 1 in honor of International Workers’ Day.

In support of mental health awareness, L.A. Local members attend NAMIWalks Greater Los Angeles on May 4. Members cheered on participants and passed out water along the route.

L.A. Local Committee chairs, co-chairs and vice chairs attend a leadership orientation on April 25.
