Thank you to those who testified at the last committee hearing, great news- SCR 140 SD 1 has crossed over to the House of Representatives and will be heard before the House Committee on Energy and Environmental Protection.

As a reminder, this resolution urges the state sustainability coordinator to work with the state and county film offices to develop protocols to ensure that film and television productions in Hawaii are utilizing sustainable practices. Specifically, we are encouraging the film and television industry in Hawaii to shift to alternatives to single-use plastics.  This is consistent with the goals of the State's 2050 Sustainability Plan.

The hearing will take place live and via video conference (Zoom) at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Here is the hearing notice.

Time is of the essence with regards to your testimony. On time testimony must be submitted by 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022 and late testimony may be submitted until the hearing time.

Submitting testimony is easy.
