The Passing of Kathy Lamkin

We are sad to report about the passing of your fellow member Kathy Lamkin. She died April 4 at age 74. 

Many of you in Texas worked with Kathy throughout a career that included projects from No Country for Old Men to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise. No Country for Old Men won a SAG Award in 2008 for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Kathy joined the union in 1996 and appeared in 46 film and TV projects. She taught theatre at Codwell Elementary in Houston, later creating and running Unicorn School of Acting and USA Theatre.

Our condolences go out to Kathy's husband of 52 years, Stephen, their children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Actors Fund by clicking here.
