The SAG-AFTRA-sponsored panel at the 2025 Voiceover Atlanta Conference provides an opportunity for voiceover artists to learn more about the union’s resources and benefits.

At the 2025 Voiceover Atlanta Conference on March 22, 2025, SAG-AFTRA hosted The VO Goldmine: Maximizing Pay, Protections & Perks with SAG-AFTRA. Panelists included SAG-AFTRA Atlanta Local President Eric Goins, voiceover artists Eric Tiede (Spirit Untamed), Noshir Dalal (Star Wars: the Bad Batch) and Sara Cravens (The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf), and SAG-AFTRA Director, Contract Strategic Initiatives & Podcasts Shaine Griffin.

The group discussed the many VO work areas that SAG-AFTRA covers, including audiobooks, commercials, podcasts, animation, video games, dubbing and promos. They also talked through how the union provides assistance and support to voiceover artists, including by negotiating fair minimum compensation, providing access to valuable health and pension benefits, and ensuring crucial protections, including against nonconsensual A.I. use of a performer’s voice. Tiede, Dalal and Cravens also shared invaluable insights on how being a union member benefits them in a rapidly evolving industry.

VO Atlanta is the largest and longest-running conference of its kind in the voiceover industry and offers panels and events related to voice work.
