The Austin Script2Screen team is accepting cast submissions for their LIVE read of three short scripts on July 15.  The Script2Screen LIVE series provides professional actors to read un-produced film or TV scripts before an industry audience. Scripts are selected from professional writers and/or script festival winners. They are rehearsed, directed and performed by professionals before casting directors, producers, directors, investors and industry pros for one performance only. 
 
Rehearsals and LIVE read will occur all in one day. NOTE - Parts with under 5 lines, will be double cast with other characters and/or multiple scripts.  Children may be played by adults due to casting difficulty.

Irreparable Split
A successful clinician, DR. MONICA WATTS struggles to help a mentally ill woman, NIECY STONE, silence her horrific past.
 
NIECY STONE:                     20s, female. Nervous wreck. Desperately trying to escape her past mental illness, a multiple personality disorder – PRIVATE STONE and MONIQUE. Must be able to distinctly change into multiple characters/personalities.
DR. MONICA WATTS:            30-40s, female. Confident. Clinician/Psychiatrist.
NARRATOR:                         Reading stage directions.
RECEPTIONIST:                    20s, female.
PATIENT 1:                          Any age, any gender, and any ethnicity. 1 line.
MS. STONE:                         Mid to late 20s. Niecy’s single mother.
YOUNG NIECY:                     10 years old. Vivid imagination and likes to role play.
YOUNGER SISTER/NATASHA:  6 years old. Niecy’s baby sister. 1 line.
COUSIN/JESSE STONE:         19 – 20, any gender. Molester.
OFFICER 1:                         30s, any gender.
 
My Girl
Long-distance lover John has been mentally and financially supporting his beautiful girlfriend only to discover he’s the victim of a scam as a con man manipulates people with the help of his girlfriend.   
 
WOMAN:                             25-45, female, Caucasian, red-neck type, must have a young voice and be able to do a heavy southern accent.
SASHA:                               18-25, female, Caucasian, undeniably beautiful, must be able to do a heavy foreign accent, British or German or Australian, something distinctive.
JOHN:                                 20-30, male, any race, military haircut, should look like the type of guy who wouldn't do too well with the ladies.
OPERATOR:                         20-50, any gender, any race.
MAN:                                  25-45: male, any race, redneck type, southern accent desired, but not required.
NARRATOR:                         Reading stage directions.
 
AZUL
Walter Mitty meets Showgirls. Married man, ROGER, on the spur of the moment, offers a ride to AZUL, a gentleman’s club dancer only to realize how truly short the distance is between fantasy and reality. Contains adult language and themes.
 
AZUL:                                 Latin female, mid 40’s, in good shape and looking younger.  An “entertainer” at a gentlemen’s club with plenty of experience, she’s just been demoted to “daytime”. When Azul is first seen she’s in “street clothes” but masked with heavy makeup and a bright red wig. As the ride progresses she reveals some of her reality and how it differs from the fantasy in her job.
ROGER:                              60 something. A married, mild mannered daydreamer, he’s a typical guy. Seizing upon a chance to live out a fantasy he offers Azul a ride home. 
WEATHERMAN:                     Voice Over (on the radio)
ROGER’S WIFE:                    Voice Over (on the phone)
