I am so appreciative to work with Board members who are humor-filled, inspired and dedicated. I’m also fortunate to work with members-at-large who have stepped up to serve on committees and at events who share the same commitment.
Involvement, being a part of the solution, is always much more rewarding and productive than being part of the problem. I’ve been a member of SAG-AFTRA and involved for a long, long time. What gives me much optimism for our local’s future are the members coming forward to push forward our union’s progress. Whether you are “quietly recruited” or decide on your own to be involved, I can assure you from personal experience that the journey will be both validating and rewarding.
Our continued strength relies on the next generation to take on more leadership roles in our local. Broadening member involvement benefits every member on every level.
I invite you to be a problem-solver. Participate in an event, volunteer for a committee, ask a question, share a concern or send a suggestion.
