A Guide to the Basics, Tools and Best Practices
Twitter is very much a sharing platform for people to connect and find topics that they care about … and it's a great place to tap into fandoms around your shows, films and causes, because that's where people go to talk.

Twitter continues to offer features for performers and creatives to build their own spaces for conversation and engagement within the platform. To provide insight about its latest products and tools, the SAG-AFTRA President’s Task Force on Education, Outreach & Engagement hosted Twitter: What You Should Know as a Performer for Your Brand on March 25.
Twitter executives Sarah Rosen, head of U.S. entertainment partnerships, and Jenna Ross, senior manager of entertainment partnerships, gave an overview of the site’s basic features and tools, as well as an in-depth guide on Twitter’s newest sub-platforms, including Fleets, Twitter Spaces and audio tweets. A Q&A session provided helpful information on how to properly use hashtags, impactful ways to promote upcoming projects and the best ways to utilize media from other social media platforms. Moderating the Q&A was SAG-AFTRA Executive Vice President and National Innovation & New Technology Committee Chair Rebecca Damon.
“There's no one-size-fits-all for everyone [and] we don't expect you to just jump in and do all these things. Take it slow and steady [and] make sure it feels right for you, and that will translate to your audience,” said Ross.
