Looking for a way to volunteer for your union? SAG-AFTRA has a long-standing practice of engaging volunteer members as sergeants-at-arms for many union local events. Sergeants-at-arms assist with crowd control, trafficking, and help facilitate meetings and events. This role also serves in a coordinated effort with SAG-AFTRA staff and security to ensure success.
All sergeants-at-arms for L.A.-based events must be members in good standing who are affiliated with the L.A. Local. All sergeant-at-arms volunteers are required to attend a brief informational session held at the union office to review the duties and scope of a SAG-AFTRA sergeant-at-arms. Volunteers will be contacted with the exact date and time of the session.
If you are interested in volunteering your time for one, two or more SAG-AFTRA events, please contact the L.A. Local Executive Office at (323) 549-6459 or LA@sagaftra.org, and provide your name, member number and contact information.
