The SAG-AFTRA MOVE L.A. Committee presented Career Marketing Now!, a panel featuring seasoned casting directors, actors and talent managers who provided inside tips and marketing wisdom to members at SAG-AFTRA Plaza on Nov. 16. Each panelist shared experiences regarding the casting process and provided practical hints on how to create a polished first impression with casting directors as well as with potential representation. The importance of performers knowing what they are selling and ensuring that branding such as headshots accurately represents them was a reoccurring theme in the discussion. Additionally, panelists encouraged listeners to invest in themselves by cultivating healthy and balanced lives, with personal hobbies and interests that lend substance to their product.
