Dozens of SAG-AFTRA members joined the estimated 750,000 Angelinos in participating in the Second Annual Women’s March Los Angeles in downtown L.A. on Jan. 21. The SAG-AFTRA contingent surrounded the prominent SAG-AFTRA banner and was led by President Gabriel Carteris, Secretary-Treasurer and L.A. Local President Jane Austin, and Executive Vice President and New York Local President Rebecca Damon, the union’s top three officers. Joining SAG-AFTRA at the march were members of sister media and entertainment unions WGAW, IATSE and AFM. Speakers at the main rally in Grand Park included SAG-AFTRA members Viola Davis, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman and Mayor Eric Garcetti.
