We are now accepting role submissions for the next SAG-AFTRA/IFP At the Table event on Monday, Sept. 24. The script that will be read is Hitch Slapped, written by Colin Costello.
The time commitment for this project will be whatever prep work the performer needs to do – i.e. : reading the script; a group rehearsal on Friday, Sept. 21 at 5:30 p.m., then the actual table read on Monday, Sept, 24 at 6 p.m. in the Kaufherr Resource Center at 1 E. Erie.
Here’s a sneak peek of the script via their logline: With only 24 hours until her televised Valentine's Day wedding on a reality show, a popular wedding blogger goes bridezilla when she is forced to recover her priceless ring which has been stolen...by a deer.
If you are interested in submitting for a role, please email kathy.byrne@sagaftra.org. You will be sent the character breakdown and submission information.
Submission deadline is Saturday, Sept. 8.
At the Table is an unpaid stage performance presented to a live audience. Casting will be based on vocal quality and characterizations. We are committed to diverse, inclusive casting. For every role, please submit qualified performers, without regard to race, age, color, national origin, sexual orientation or gender identity, disability or any other basis prohibited by law, unless otherwise specifically indicated.
This event is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing. Unfortunately, no guests allowed. Parents/guardians of younger performers under 18 years old are welcome. SAG-AFTRA member, please bring your membership card or digital care on the app (paid through Oct. 31, 2018) for admittance.
