Our SAG-AFTRA family is heartbroken by the devastating news that Chicago actor and former local board member Molly Glynn passed away Saturday from injuries suffered during the severe storm on Friday.

Molly was an active and vibrant force in the Chicago acting and performing community. She had a very successful career in TV/film and on stage in Chicago. Her TV credits include Chicago Fire and Boss. Molly was a regular at some of the city’s most renowned theaters, including Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare and Northlight.

She was also a great union member, serving first on the SAG Branch Council and post-merger on the first joint SAG-AFTRA Local Board. She served our union faithfully and energetically while maintaining a family and a successful career.

Molly is survived by her husband, actor Joe Foust and her two sons Chance, 17, and Declan, 13. A fund has been set up on behalf of the family, The Molly Glynn Memorial Trust. Click here for more information about the fund.

Please keep Molly’s family in your thoughts as they heal from this tragic loss.
