Cold Reading Workshop Heats Up Nevada

Kimberly Jentzen kicked off the May 19 SAG-AFTRA Nevada Local Conservatory workshop at SON Studios with insights from the Jentzen Technique, which explores the importance of developing one’s imagination and concentration as an actor. Jentzen first guided the actors through a visualization exercise and then taught a technique she calls “Fire in the Communication.” She incorporated it into a personalization exercise, after which she taught how to use it as preparation for learning scenes and in auditions through improvisation exercises. 

Jentzen is an award-winning writer, director, acting coach and teacher. She has been featured in numerous publications and voted Favorite Acting Coach in Los Angeles multiple times by Backstage West.
