The Detroit Local honored the impact of unions in front of the city’s Joe Louis and Labor’s Legacy monuments on Dec. 3. SAG-AFTRA’s social media campaign, #StrikeBBH, is a nationwide call against ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Members throughout the country are being asked to make signs bearing the hashtag and post photos and videos online.
BBH has worked with SAG-AFTRA under the Commercials Contracts for over 20 years, but has recently attempted to abandon these contracts. This takes opportunities away from union actors and threatens their ability to work on safe sets, earn livable wages and receive health benefits. Shame on BBH!
