Members of the New York Local stood on the TKTS steps in Times Square on Dec. 4 to demonstrate their commitment to union work. SAG-AFTRA’s social media campaign, #StrikeBBH, is a nationwide call against ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Members throughout the country are being asked to make signs bearing the hashtag and post photos and videos online. While many of the locals posed in front of well-known landmarks in their region, others came together in solidarity during other meetings and events.
BBH has worked with SAG-AFTRA under the Commercials Contracts for over 20 years, but has recently attempted to abandon these contracts. This takes opportunities away from union actors and threatens their ability to work on safe sets, earn livable wages and receive health benefits. Shame on BBH!
Show your solidarity and join the #StrikeBBH campaign. Click here for more information.
