On Wednesday, Nov. 15, SAG-AFTRA New York Local President Ezra Knight and Executive Director, New York Local, Labor Policy & International Affairs Rebecca Damon joined New York City Mayor Eric Adams and New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment Commissioner Pat Kaufman for the groundbreaking ceremony of East End Studios. Located in Sunnyside, Queens, East End Studios will create hundreds of permanent jobs as well as close to 1,000 construction jobs. With the end of both the historic SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes and the development of this site, East End studios will continue to prove that New York City is a thriving epicenter for film and television production.
