The Entertainment Community Fund logo

The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund) is a national human services organization that helps address the specific needs of actors and other entertainment professionals — with a unique understanding of the challenges involved with a life in the arts and the knowledge of what it takes to thrive in an often-unpredictable industry.

In recognition of Mental Health Month, the Entertainment Community Fund shines a spotlight on the mental health services available to members of SAG-AFTRA through the Fund.

A life in the arts comes with a unique set of challenges. When facing stress, anxiety, depression or life transitions, actors can turn to the Fund for confidential and compassionate support. Delivered by caring clinicians, services include assessment to help determine your mental health needs, crisis support, referrals for ongoing care, and guidance on understanding mental health insurance coverage.

For those seeking a safe space to connect with and receive support from peers within the community, support groups are available to help manage stress and anxiety, find ways to incorporate self-care into your daily life, cope with loss, foster hope and find resilience. Led by social workers, all groups meet online and provide caring assistance and valuable resources.

And when what is needed most in your day-to-day life is a sense of balance and peace, a daily drop-in mindfulness meditation is available Monday-Friday at 9 a.m. PT. This regular offering focuses on mindfulness practices utilizing the breath, helping to manage and reduce everyday stress.

Whether seeking individual care, community support or a daily sense of calm, the Fund is here to provide compassionate care.

The mental health services of the Fund are free and available to all members of SAG-AFTRA. To learn more, please visit entertainmentcommunity.org/MentalHealth.
