The Los Angeles Local Conservatory is back open for enrollment! After a four-year hiatus, it opened for enrollment to the L.A. membership on Jan. 12, 2024.

Taught by vetted and distinguished instructors, the SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory offers a low-cost opportunity for members to hone and develop their craft through classes, workshops, lectures and symposia. Programming is virtual, in person and hybrid format. In-person programming is currently being held at SAG-AFTRA headquarters and the Los Angeles Film School.

Class and workshop topics include self-taping, wellness education, the business of acting, genre-specific craft work and many more. Panels explore a wide array of topics and include intimate conversations through the Actors’ Evening program. This program is designed to bring industry professionals to the Los Angeles Conservatory. These lively and informative moderated panels are often composed of casting directors, working members, show runners, producers, SAG-AFTRA staff, agents and casts of a show.

We are also excited to begin preparations for our highly anticipated Summer Intensive! This weekend-long intensive is one of the most well-known Conservatory events of the year, and a favorite among members. Conservatory members will spend three days honing their craft, learning tips to be successful and networking with other actors in their union.

Make sure to enroll in the Los Angeles Local Conservatory now to get updates for this event and many more in the coming months!

Once you have enrolled, your status will be active for one year to the date that you enrolled.
