LOS ANGELES – Final voting for the 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® is now open for all eligible SAG-AFTRA members, SAG Awards® Executive Producer Jon Brockett announced today. The ceremony will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET from The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Final ballot information will be mailed to all eligible members today. Online voting is highly encouraged. Members who would like to request a paper ballot in lieu of voting online may contact the SAG Awards election firm, Integrity Voting Systems, at (800) 961–8287 before 5 p.m. PT on Friday, February 11. In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, all eligible SAG-AFTRA members can now opt out of physical DVDs and mailers at sagaftra.org/gogreen

Additionally, to increase accessibility for SAG-AFTRA members, all FYC digital screeners of nominated titles are required to feature audio descriptions as an option for members who are blind or have low vision. It was also announced that the live SAG Awards telecast will now feature audio descriptions for the first time. Presented by Tide, the audio descriptions allow audiences who are blind or have low vision to enjoy the show more fully as it narrates the key visual elements during natural pauses in the ceremony’s dialogue through the audio description TV setting.

One of awards season’s premier events, the SAG Awards annually celebrates the outstanding motion picture and television performances from the previous calendar year (2021 SAG Awards Eligibility Period: March 1 - December 31, 2021). Of the top industry honors presented to actors, only the SAG Awards are selected entirely by performers’ peers in SAG-AFTRA with 124,000 eligible voters. The SAG Awards was the first televised awards show to acknowledge the work of union members and the first to present awards to motion picture casts and television ensembles.
