Free Passes to attend the SAG-AFTRA Sponsored DC LaborFest

Former National SAG-AFTRA President Ken Howard, prior to his death on March 23, 2016, was generous enough to use his American Income Life board donation to allow SAG-AFTRA to be one of the premiere sponsors of the DC LaborFest, a month long multi-disciplinary celebration of the Labor Movement.

The festival opens on Friday, April 29 with a SAG-AFTRA sponsored screening of the 2015 film Trumbo staring Bryan Cranston. Other events during the festival include various Labor art exhibits and historical tours, special radio segments on 89.3 FM WPFW, poetry, concerts, theatrical performances, DC United Labor Night and 21 film screenings including The 33, Suffragette, Sing Faster: The Stagehands’ Ring Cycle, and a SAG-AFTRA screening of Will Smith’s Concussion on Wednesday, May 18.

As part of our sponsorship, SAG-AFTRA has a limited number of passes good for any screening during DC LaborFest.  If you would like to reserve a pair of passes, please email Business Representative Jess W. Speaker, III at Jess.Speaker@sagaftra.org

The SAG-AFTRA membership of the Washington—Mid Atlantic Local wishes to thank Ken for his generous support and we will honor his memory in celebration of the labor movement and our sponsorship of this event.
