Important Updates and Action to Be Taken on the Film Tax Incentive

Jobs Advocacy Day

Last week, two amendments, Amendments 1090 and 1091, were filed as part of the House Budget and call for capping and dismantling the Film Tax Incentive program in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

It is now more important than ever that SAG-AFTRA members and other film workers be there at the State House at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 9 to send a clear message to the Massachusetts Legislature that Films made in Massachusetts = Good Jobs for the People of Massachusetts.

The State House of Representatives will begin debate on the House Budget this week and it is important that your representatives hear from you on this vital issue. Please follow the following link to contact your state representative:

In the midst of the state budget debate, this advocacy day is a critical piece of our campaign to preserve and protect the film & TV incentive program, and it is important that SAG-AFTRA members attend.
