Members at KSEE-TV, owned by Nexstar, and KFSN-TV, owned by ABC/Disney, recently voted to approve their new union contract agreements. At ABC, members won Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a new holiday, paid child-bonding leave, raises and the coveted Disney Main Entrance Pass for trips to Disneyland.
KSEE-TV members significantly improved weekly minimums, agreed on improved safety requirements for live shots, secured an improved 401K match and fought off many concessions proposed by management. Both wins were the result of union activity at the Fresno stations by SAG-AFTRA members who wore stickers of solidarity on bargaining days and got the word out via social media.
