About Michael R. Long
In 1979, Michael R. Long started as a Background Actor in television and film. During this time, Michael began training with the Stuntmen's Association. His training included learning how to do film fighting, stunt driving, sword fighting and many more. For many years, he performed in live western stunt shows with Larry Mahan, professional rodeo cowboy. His big break came when he was upgraded from Background Actor to Stunt Performer, in the film E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.
For the past 35 years, Michael has continued to work as a Stunt Performer, Stunt Coordinator and Principal Performer in over 300 television shows, films and commercials. He has also worked with Bruce Willis, Harrison Ford and Dudley Moore, just to name a few.
In 2008, Michael and his late wife, Stunt Performer, Shelby Swatek started L.A. Stunts Training Center in New Mexico where they trained actors and new stunt performers about the basics of stunts.
