There are a variety of ways in which a member can serve the union and local committee service is a great way to lend your talents, experience and knowledge of the industry to benefit the union and its members.

The following Atlanta Local committees will be reconstituted for 2015-2017 based on member requests received at atlanta@sagaftra.org, and input from the various committee chairs and vice chairs that have been recommended by the local President and approved by the Atlanta Local Board. Local committee policy allows for up to nine (9) members and four (4) alternate positions per committee.

If you are interested in serving or would like to continue your current committee service, you must submit a request to serve at atlanta@sagaftra.org no later than 5 p.m. ET, Friday, Oct. 23 to be considered for service. Please list your SAG-AFTRA member ID, name, contact information and the names of the committee(s) in which you would like to serve. In addition, briefly describe why you are interested in local committee service and any experience you may have related to each committee’s mission (described below).

Please note that a request to serve does not guarantee placement on a committee and you must be a member in good standing of the Atlanta Local. Final committee appointments will be made by the Atlanta Local Board at its meeting scheduled on Monday, Oct. 26.

Thank you in advance for your desire to volunteer on behalf of all SAG-AFTRA Atlanta Local members.
