There is no denying that in the past two years we have experienced some “merging” pains. Along with other locals across the country, the Colorado Local’s office was shuttered. Most difficult for those of us active in the marketplace was the loss of our outstanding executive director of eight years, Julie Crane. Julie was an invaluable resource providing much-needed guidance and support to the board and membership at large. She truly cared about the membership that she was hired to serve and did so with a measure of excellence that went far beyond her job description.
We are fortunate Julie still works for SAG-AFTRA in a different capacity, resides in the area and continues to support the growth and development of the local market through her volunteer efforts on the Colorado Film & Video Association board and as a member of the Cinema Advisory Group, which is why you will still see her at industry events around town.
The Colorado Local Board and membership are incredibly grateful to Julie for her dedication and superb service to the members of this local. We give thanks to her for a job done with great care and passion and wish her only the very best in her travels.
