The Hawaii Local raised colorful, handmade signs in front of the Aloha Tower Dec. 13. SAG-AFTRA’s social media campaign, #StrikeBBH, is a nationwide call against ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Members throughout the country are being asked to make signs bearing the hashtag and post photos and videos online. Hawaii’s photo took place between takes on set.

BBH has worked with SAG-AFTRA under the Commercials Contracts for over 20 years, but has recently attempted to abandon these contracts. This takes opportunities away from union actors and threatens their ability to work on safe sets, earn livable wages and receive health benefits. Shame on BBH!
