Hawaii Local Background Performers Gather for a Daylong Workshop

On Saturday, Jan. 13, Hawaii Local background performers gathered at the Entrepreneurs Sandbox in Honolulu for a day of learning, networking and professional development. We were fortunate to have Stephanie Perry, SAG-AFTRA national director, background and New York entertainment contracts, join remotely for an informative and empowering information session on the 2023 TV/Theatrical Contracts. We were also joined by local casting directors, board members, and production staff throughout the day for sessions focusing on getting background jobs and professionalism on set. Big mahalo to the Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism’s Creative Industries Division and Good Jobs Hawaii for their generous support.
