On Jan. 19, SAG-AFTRA New York Local President Ezra Knight spoke at Fordham University's Ninth Annual Media and Entertainment Law Symposium during a panel titled Artist Representation: Unions & Talent Agencies. Knight and the panelists discussed the benefits that artists gain from joining unions, the primary contract issues that led to last year’s historic strike, and a general overview of the new provisions of the recently ratified SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical Contracts. During the Q&A, the panelists spoke about the collective power of both SAG-AFTRA and WGA being on strike.
