Houston-Austin Local Hosts 30th Annual SAG Awards Viewing Party

Members of the Houston-Austin Local and guests gathered on Feb. 24 to celebrate and watch the 30th Annual SAG Awards together in the Houston area. The show was streamed live via Netflix and the viewing party was held at Star Cinema Grill in Richmond. We thank the staff at Star Cinema Grill for being excellent hosts. We were treated to our own private theater with plenty of seating and dedicated servers taking care of our attendees all night. Attendees participated in red carpet interviews before the show and submitted picks for award winners. 

Our Houston-Austin Local SAG Awards Committee and Local Board members worked hard to secure the outstanding venue. They also put serious effort into securing door prizes and giveaways for many of our attendees. We can’t possibly thank everybody who contributed to such a wonderful event individually, but we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to everyone who pitched in and helped make this year’s party so great. Our friend Roger Palamino from Houston Media Source attended and spoke to attendees about our member discount partnership with HMS and all the incredible services they have to offer. 

The night was a great success and the excitement in the room was palpable. The party served as a kick-off for our engagement activities over the coming year.
