The Houston-Austin conservatory is dedicated to providing unique and relevant education workshops, seminars, readings and creative opportunities in South Texas. Our mission is to provide professional training and industry networking opportunities that will raise the level of professional talent, create homegrown industry opportunity and bring more business to members.

Coffee Talks in outlying regions and workshops for Young Performers are representative of our member to member outreach throughout the local.

Interfacing with young performers as they begin their careers is the focus for this committee. Speakers Bureau and the Swan Day event are two ways this committee helps to outreach to the pre-member.

Contract education and support of current and future employers include developing new tools for producers at every level.

Our Script 2 Screen Teams support the creative film throughout south Texas. SAG-AFTRA members read a professional film script before a live audience to industry pros, performers and potential investors, helping the screenwriter hone their material.
