Nashville Members – Join the ‘Wall of Memberabilia!’ Please take a moment to consider joining in this fun project.
The Nashville Board is excited to announce work is underway to significantly upgrade the SAG-AFTRA Studio which is located downstairs from the local office. The enhancements will be detailed over the coming month and rolled out during the annual membership meeting on June 3. We invite all members to be a part of this exciting project by donating an item for the ‘Wall of Memberabilia.’ Between now and May 20, the local staff are collecting donations of items related to your SAG-AFTRA work. Examples include an old abandoned instrument, a lyric written on a cocktail napkin, a guitar strap worn during a concert or special performance, or a script from an appearance on a TV show or film. We are not seeking items of great monetary value – simply something that reflects your work in the industry – and we want you to be sure to sign (autograph) your item. If there’s a special story behind why you chose your particular contribution, write it down and submit it, too.
As current members and members in future generations utilize the studio to write or record, they will learn about our history and hopefully be inspired by the notable and diverse work of those who have come before. I hope you will join me, Stephanie Bentley, Georgia Middleman and other members of the board who have already agreed to donate items and be sure and mark your calendars for 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 3. We’ll provide lunch and share important business of the local.
We look forward to seeing everyone on June 3!
