In addition to approving Los Angeles National Board member replacements, committee member recommendations were approved for 28 L.A. Local Committees. To learn more about each local committee, visit the SAG-AFTRA L.A. - About Our Local.

The following reports were received by the Los Angeles Local Board:

President’s Report
Los Angeles Local President Jodi Long welcomed the board members and observers to the meeting. She emphasized the importance of working together to bring progress for the union especially as committees begin to meet for the 2023-2025 term.

Executive Director’s Report
L.A. Local Executive Director Serena Kung provided local updates to the board. She encouraged continued engagement from members at-large through attendance at events such as the local’s SAG Awards® Viewing Party.

The L.A. Local Viewing Party is a highlight for the local each year and is hosted by the L.A. Local Host Committee. This year’s event sold out in less than a day after making its comeback for the first time since the pandemic.

Kung also spoke about resources provided to SAG-AFTRA members through the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, the Entertainment Community Fund and the Motion Picture & Television Fund, which are still actively providing emergency financial assistance and resources to members.

TV Animation Contracts Update
L.A. Local Second Vice President David Jolliffe provided an update on upcoming Animation contract negotiations and preliminary schedule for the wages and working conditions meetings.
