Learning to Love Improv

Say the word “improv,” and some performers break out in a cold sweat.

Members attending Jimmy Carrane’s improv seminar on Sept. 9 were shown various techniques, tips and tools to up their improv game. The two-hour workshop at the Kaufherr Center presented members with ways to take the stress out of having to be funny by being more spontaneous when acting, and explained the importance of taking more risks and making bolder choices.
