One of Chicago’s most beloved and respected SAG-AFTRA franchised talent agents, Linda Jack of Grossman & Jack Talent, has retired after more than 40 years of being an agent. Her last day was April 30.
Jack, a legend in the Chicago creative/entertainment community, started her illustrious career with the popular A Plus Talent in 1976. At that time, she became Chicago’s first talent agent for children. After several years, she moved to another popular agency, Emilia Lorence Ltd.
Then, in 1992, she opened her own talent agency, Linda Jack Talent, and in 2006 she partnered with talent agent legend Mickey Grossman to form Grossman & Jack Talent. Grossman died in 2011.
Jack not only is considered a mentor to many Chicago performers, but a friend as well. Her reputation as dedicated and fierce protector of her talent roster has long been respected by the Chicago entertainment community. She worked tirelessly to ensure that her talent roster worked under the protection of SAG-AFTRA contracts. Through the years, and especially these last few months, Jack has said that she considers it an honor to work with such a “high caliber of talent in Chicago.”
Although she will miss everyone, Jack is excited to be able to start a new chapter in her life’s journey and is thrilled at all the new possibilities that await her.
Grossman & Jack Talent will continue with agents Robert Schroeder and Susan Farlik Carlson at the helm.
We wish Linda Jack all the best!
