A Letter From Your Houston-Austin Local President Mykle McCoslin

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to spend some quality time with loved ones.

Well, it looks like we made Santa’s good list this year, and I am excited to announce that we will begin conducting in-person activities again in 2023. You heard right. That means we will host an in-person SAG Awards viewing party in 2023!

Please save the date for our Houston-Austin SAG Awards viewing party Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023. Details to follow.

We are currently hosting a series of landscape meetings to help members understand the current state of the industry under which SAG-AFTRA will be negotiating the TV/Theatrical Contracts.

In addition, we will begin wages and working conditions (W&W) meetings and national constituency caucuses throughout December and January. Please check your email and this page in the coming weeks for specific dates, subjects (where applicable) and times. This page will be regularly updated as wages and working conditions meetings are announced. 

As we prepare for in-person meetings next year, we will begin activating our local committees, including our SAG Awards Committee.
