SAG-AFTRA Foundation: Twisted Wave 103: Audio Processing with Plug-Ins for Audiobooks, Commercials and Other VO Audio

Jun 11, 2021 - 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM PDT

Where: Online

Twisted Wave 103 is an advanced class, specifically tailored to those that want to understand the final stage (before digital distribution) of audio production for recorded audiobooks (known as mastering) and also how to improve the sound quality of your voiceover recordings for commercial, animation, video game and other genres of VO.  How can you get rid of unwanted noise in your VO recordings? How can you quickly remove breathes in your VO audio? How do you take away the "ssssss" or sibilance sound in your audio?  Adding plug-ins is a great way to get the VO results you are looking for.

REQUIREMENTS

This is an advanced class that will discuss audio mastering techniques and audio plug-ins.  We will use Audibook mastering as a foundation,  but plug-ins can be used for all niches of VO to improve the quality of your audio recordings.  Attendees should understand the basics of Twisted Wave or other audio recording software.  Also, this is a good step for those that have completed Twisted Wave 101: Recording Voiceover with Twisted Wave and Twisted Wave 102: How to Master Your Audiobook Recordings,  Email us at ashuford@sagaftra.foundation if you have questions.

Participants must stay for entire program: 5-8 p.m. (PDT) / 8-11 p.m. (EDT)

Though Twisted Wave has an iOS version, iOS (iPads/iPhones) will not be the focus of this workshop.

Have your Mac with Twisted Wave downloaded and operational for the optimal learning experience.  Twisted Wave can be found at: http://twistedwave.com/mac.html
