This year, the SAG-AFTRA New England MOVE Committee will host a toy drive for our local membership on behalf of Boston Children’s Hospital. Boston Children’s Hospital collects toys and donations for its patients and families for the holiday season. It takes all donations and creates a “shopping room” for families where they can select toys and items for their children and wrap them then and there.
 
When: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10 - Friday, Dec. 14

Please bring new, unwrapped toys to place in our donation box. You’ll need to check in with security on the first floor before coming up to the office.

SAG-AFTRA has held successful strike activities in L.A. and N.Y. Now it’s our turn, New England.

We’re on strike against Bartle Bogle Hegarty LLC (BBH). After nearly 20 years, the ad agency says they are no longer signatory to our Commercials Contracts. This is a direct assault on your ability to earn a living, and BBH’s action threatens the health of our union and the stability of our Pension and Health Plans. Actions like this will take place all across the country.

Boston:
When: 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4
Where: Make Way for Ducklings, Boston Public Gardens (the corner of Beacon and Charles St.)
 
We will meet there to take pictures for social media in front of the iconic sculpture. If you plan to attend, please email benjamin.winthrop@sagaftra.org so we know how many to expect and can be on the lookout for you.

For this action, please do not wear clothing that has any prominent advertiser branding. We will be supplying signage for pictures.

Please note that seating with a reservation is on a first-come-first served basis. Our doors open at 2:30p.m. The seminar is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing, no guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome. You must bring your current membership card for admittance (paid thru Oct. 31, 2018 or April 30, 2019).
