The Entertainment Community Fund Financial Wellness Program seeks to engage, educate and empower performing arts professionals about the role of money in their lives.

This six-week workshop builds on the concepts introduced in Intro to Financial Wellness: Budgeting Nuts & Bolts and focuses on developing both a healthy relationship with money and practical money management skills as a creative professional. Participants will learn and begin to implement specific strategies for organizing expenses, planning with multiple and/or episodic income, managing and eliminating debt, saving, investing, aligning professional and financial goals, and more.

Stamp Out Hunger May 14 with Letter Carriers' Union

The National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, the country's largest one-day food drive, returns Saturday, May 14, 2022.

This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the food drive, which collects non-perishable food donations along postal routes and at post offices on the 2nd Saturday of May. To participate simply leave a sturdy bag - containing non-perishable food items such as canned soup, canned vegetables, canned meats and fish, pasta, rice or cereal -  next to your mailbox before the regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 14 and your union letter carrier will deliver it to a local food bank. The AFL-CIO, of which SAG-AFTRA is a member, is sponsoring this nationwide event.

Musicians and music industry professionals may experience stress, burn-out and/or feelings of frustration while navigating the unpredictable nature of their careers.

This career support group is for musicians and music industry professionals to talk about their thoughts, feelings and experiences working in music, to build support with their peers and to identify self-care strategies.

Topics in this group may include but are not limited to:

  • Struggles endured in the music industry
  • Solutions, strategies and practices that musicians have been using to navigate their careers
  • Identifying next-step career goals
  • Brainstorming ways to overcome barriers within the music industry
