LinkedIn Suite for Entertainment 
The Career Center’s Linkedin Suite for Entertainment program seeks to provide arts workers with the LinkedIn skills and knowledge needed to engage with the platform in a meaningful way and will help you explore how to market yourself for the career paths you’re actively pursuing. While we encourage you to participate in all units of the LinkedIn series for an optimal experience; it is not required to participate in each unit. Participants should feel free to only attend units that best fit their needs.

Unit 3: Networking & Content Creation 
Are you ready to take your networking skills to the next level? This course will provide you with the advanced LinkedIn strategies that are guaranteed to help increase your profile views and grow your network in a meaningful way! In this session we will review the following LinkedIn areas:

  • Networking: Discuss effective strategies that will help you meet new meaningful connections and increase informational interviews. 
  • Content Creation: Learn how to write quality LinkedIn content that will help you accelerate your LinkedIn presence.

The Actors Fund offers resources to dancers at every age and stage of their career.  Our national program enables dancers from all disciplines to define their own career possibilities and to develop the skills necessary to manage their careers within dance, and when needed, outside of dance.  

We help dancers:  

  • To explore and expand employment, entrepreneurial & supplemental income streams to help them thrive at every stage of their dance career   
  • To pursue training in a new field through Career Transition For Dancers (CTFD) scholarships for certification, undergraduate and/or graduate-level degree programs  
  • To sustain mind/body wellness through mental health services, health insurance guidance and support groups for dancers

The road to financial wellness requires clarity and understanding with regards to your numbers. However, genuine financial wellness also requires clarity and understanding regarding the role that race has played and continues to play in our society, in terms of access to financial opportunities for Black communities.

This special 8-week version of our popular Managing Cash Flow course will explore how the history of racial and economic inequality impacts our present-day financial experience.

  • The first two weeks of the class provide the foundation for exploring the relationship between race and money in America.
  • The remaining 6-weeks will focus on developing practical money management skills. Participants will learn and begin to implement specific strategies for organizing expenses, balancing multiple sources of income, planning for dry spells, managing debt, saving, investing, aligning professional and financial goals, and more.
